"Saxondale" (2006)

I tried to find a good clip on youtube to accompany this post, but was unsuccessful.  The reason is that this BBC comedy is much more character-based humor than bit-based.  Thus it is hard to give a good representation of why you should watch this in a 2 minute clip like you could with The Office, or Arrested Development.  It has a funny premise: an ex-roadie turned exterminator; and it is played with great aplomb (did I mention it's British?) by Steve Coogan (24 Hour Party People, Tristram Shandy, Alan Partridge Presents).  I'm not trying to sell anything here or give a rating, it's just the image of Steve Coogan and that Mustang looked lonely without any accompanying text.  It's funny. The End.

"Micmacs" (2010)

If you've seen Amelie (who don't), Delicatessen, or City of Lost Children, you probably don't need me to tell you that this is an entertaining ride.  If you haven't, let me just say that this film is an entertaining ride.  Jeunet fits perfectly in the tradition of visionary comedic filmmakers like Chaplin, Keaton, Tati and Gilliam.

"Doctor Who" (In Chronological Order)

Having just watched "Alchemists of Sound", a documentary about the BBC's sound designers known as the Radiophonic Workshop, it made me want to go back and delve into the Doctor Who universe.
A number of the series are available on Netflix, but they are not in chronological order.   So what I have done for you (but mostly me) is make a list below of all the Doctor Who episodes available for streaming on Netflix.ca, in chronological order by series number (thanks wikipedia!)

"American Movie" (1999)

Inaugural post, let's get to it.

This is a heartwarming, classic film full of great real life characters and hilarious lines - most famously:
"It's alright, its okay, theres something to live foooooooor, Jesus told me soooooooo "
I guess there's still people out there who haven't seen this, sooooo......
